A 44-year-old woman from a village in the Anenii Noi district has been sentenced to 16 years in prison after murdering a man with extreme cruelty. The sentence was handed down by the Anenii Noi branch of the Causeni court, IPN reports.

According to the investigation, on the evening of September 5, 2024, a 40-year-old man consumed alcohol together with the defendant's brother at the defendant's home. Disturbed by his presence, the woman asked him to leave. When he refused, she took a stick of wood and hit him repeatedly on the head and chest. The assault lasted for about half an hour, until the victim showed no signs of life.

The woman admitted her guilt in court.
