Woman risks remaining without frostbitten legs
A woman risks losing her legs after suffering from frostbite. Anatol Proca, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 54-year-old woman was crawling along Scoreni St, seeking help. Passersby called the ambulance and she was taken to the hospital.
An inebriated woman aged 49 was found on Mircea cel Batran Blvd. with general hypothermia and rushed to the hospital.
A 40-year-old man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital in an extremely serious condition. He fell from a height of about four meters while working on the roof at a building site on the beach in Vatra town.
Two female colleagues aged 50 got poisoned after eating pickled cabbage. They called the ambulance and the police, saying a co-worker of theirs put a toxic substance in their food.
Another two women aged 50 took pills in order to kill themselves. They were taken to Saint Trinity Hospital for detox.
Accidentally or not, a 52-year-old man abusing alcohol drank a substance used to kill insects. He was discovered dead by his mother.
Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 783 calls, including 85 cases of acute viral infection, four cases of flu, 56 cases of trauma, three myocardial infarctions and 12 strokes.
