A woman aged 45 died in a traffic accident on Cuza Vodă Blvd in Botanica district of Chisinau in the evening of October 21.
Contacted by IPN, Natalia Stati, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division, said the woman was jaywalking and the 19-year-old driver who was speeding could not stop on time.
The police started a criminal case. The driver was arrested and faces three to seven years in jail.
