An unidentified man wearing a balaclava attacked a woman who was carrying a bag with money that was to be deposited in the evening of June 8. According to the police, the woman went up the stairs to the office of a joint stock company in central Chisinau to take the money. A college of her was waiting outside. Shortly afterward the woman was found dead. The money was stolen.
The police were called at about 7pm. The woman aged 43 was an employee of the joint stock company. Signs of violent death were discovered on her body. The medical examiners are to find out the cause of death. The preliminary version is that the woman was hit powerfully in the head, press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Adrian Jovmir has told IPN.
On May 30, a man died and two men suffered injuries in an armed attack on a bank car that was conveying money. The thieves, who were wearing balaclavas, fired shot at the collectors and disappeared with the money. The driver of the car died on the spot, while two colleagues of his were hurt. The robbers haven’t been identified yet.
