A 43-year-old woman from Bumbăta village of Ungheni district died after the car in which she was travelling skidded off the road at a turn and turned upside down for several times. It happened on the Ungheni-Chisinau road at about 7:30pm.

General Police Inspectorate press officer Mariana Beţivu has told IPN that the accident occurred at the exit from the village. The car was driven by a man aged 20 from the same village. He didn’t have a driver’s license.

The driver’s girlfriend aged 18 was rushed to the Ungheni District Hospital with a head injury and a concussion. The driver and another two passengers aged 19 didn’t need medical care.

An investigation is under way.
