A 38-year-old woman was killed when she was struck by a car while going home. Tudor Capatana, PR specialist of the Traffic Police Division, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened near Anenii-Noi on Wednesday evening. The driver left the place of the accident, but was soon identified. He is a 23-year-old man from Chisinau. The police are searching for the driver of another car that struck a man in Dangeni village of Octnita district. The injured man aged 54 was found by the roadside. He was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken to the hospital with a cranial-cerebral trauma and a fracture of the right arm. A Rover driven by a 20-year-old man skidded on Negruzzi St in Orhei town and crashed into an obstacle. A passenger aged 20 was admitted to the hospital with serious injuries. A VAZ-2107 driven by a 60-year-old man collided with a motorcycle at an intersection in Orhei. The motorcyclist aged 46 received a cranial-cerebral trauma and was taken to the district hospital. One person was killed and 11 injured in the 11 accidents that happened on the national roads on Wednesday, May 19.
