A woman who came to Chisinau to a wedding party was crushed under the wheels of a motorcycle on a street in Chisinau’s Telecentru district. Silvia Babara, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the tragedy happened on Hancesti St, not far from the building of the National Television, where people were gathering together to go to a wedding. The 59-year-old woman from Glodeni was struck fatally by a motorcycle. When the ambulance arrived, the woman was dead. A homeless man aged 51 died on the way to the hospital because of cardiovascular trouble. He was discovered on a street. The ambulance doctors could not save him. Three young women aged 21, 23 and 27 took different pills in order to kill themselves. One of them was hospitalized for detox. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service responded to 732 calls, dealing with 73 cases of trauma, 79 cases of acute viral infection, six strokes and other emergencies.
