A woman aged 44 died after she was struck by a car on Hancesti St in Chisinau on May 20 in the evening. The police established that the woman was still alive, but the driver did not stop to help. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, managing doctor of the Chisinau Ambulance Service Evelina Rusu said the Traffic Police called an ambulance, but the woman died by the time it arrived. In a communiqué, the Traffic Police says the culprit was arrested shortly afterward. No other details are provided. A person was killed and four injured in another accident on the Straseni – Scoreni road on the night of May 21. The driver was under the influence of alcohol.
