A woman that was seriously injured last Wednesday after a gas cylinder exploded in her household in Chișcăreni village, Sângerei, has been flown over by a SMURD helicopter to the Chisinau Burns Center.
The Center’s director Octavian Cirimpei told IPN the 63-year-old has burns on 80% of her body and her airways have been affected too. She has been put in intensive care, where her dressing will be changed and other preparations will be made before the woman undergoes surgery tomorrow.
The explosion occurred as the woman tried to connect a leaky cylinder to a stove in her summer kitchen.
