Woman in hospital after suffering burns and intoxication in fire

A Sangerei woman, 62, is now recovering in hospital after suffering burns and intoxication in a home fire in Chiscareni village. A spokesperson for the Civil Protection Service has told Info-Prim Neo that the incident was caused by reckless use of open fire. The woman suffered burns of II and III degree and intoxication with carbon monoxide, being admitted to the Sangerei District Hospital. A Dominator harvester caught fire right in the middle of reaping a field in Recea village, Rascani district. By the time the fire crew arrived, the flames managed to damage the engine compartment and partly the operator's compartment. Firefighters believe a short-circuit was to blame. An Audi-80 burst into flames on a local road at Chisinau's outskirts and burned almost completely. The cause is yet to be established. Over the past 24 hours, there were recorded 12 fires across Moldova, most of which occurred in rural households.
