Woman hurt in Chisinau apartment blast still in a serious state

The 33-year-old woman who was hurt in the exposition in an apartment building in Râșcani district of Chisinau two days ago remains in the intensive care section of the Emergency Medicine Institute. The young woman suffered polytrauma and hand and leg burns. Her state of health is serious, but stable, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

Another patient aged 32, who suffered an associated injury, pulmonary contusion and closed abdominal trauma is receiving treatment in the Associated Traumas Section. His state of health is stable.

One more woman who sustained injuries in the blast sought medical assistance on October 7. The woman was diagnosed with a brain injury and was hospitalized in a medium state for conservative treatment.

A person with a posttraumatic stress disorder remains under the medical supervision of doctors of the Municipal Hospital “Saint Trinity”.

The persons who remained without shelter as a result of the blast were accommodated at the clinical hospital of the Ministry of Health, where they benefit from medical and psychological assistance. Eight persons stay there at present.

Four persons, one of whom a child, died in the October 6 blast. The Chisinau City Prosecutor’s Office took legal action and is to start a criminal case over killing out of imprudence in this case.
