Woman hospitalized with sever burns
A woman from Dizghingea village, Gagauz autonomy, has been hospitalized with severe burns suffered from a fire in her house.
The press officer of the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service, Liliana Puscasu, has told Info-Prim Neo the fire destroyed furniture in the kitchen of 15 sq. m. The 35-year-old woman suffered severe burns on 10 % of her skin.
Because of deficiencies in the fueling system, a MAN truck, carrying 5 tonnes of sand, caught fire. The incident happened on the Chisinau-Leuseni motorway near Ialoveni town. The driver managed to leave the truck and to ask for fire fighters's help. They say there was the danger of explosion, but the fire was contained in time. The driver assesses the damage at 30,000 lei.
Some 6 ha of wheat belonging to SRL “Agrogred” from Taraclia town have burnt. The reason is not known, but the firemen think it may be careless usage of open fire.
The house of a man from Onitcani village, Criuleni, remained without its roof as the fire flared up because of unknown reasons.
Since the beginning of the year 1,183 fires have been recorded in Moldova claiming the lives of 113 people, including 6 children.
