A woman was attacked in her block entry in Ciocana and was hospitalized with knife wounds. Silvia Babara, managing doctor of the Emergency Service, told Info-Prim Neo the 31-year-old woman lived on Igor Vieru Street. At about 20.00, when she was exiting the building, an unknown person attacked her and hit her with a knife under the collarbone. Fortunately, no major blood vessels were damaged and the wound was not a penetrating one. The doctors of the Emergency Service found the woman was drunk. The Ciocana police are investigating the case. A 59-year-old woman was placed in the Emergency Hospital after she had been hit by a truck. She suffered a pelvis fracture, numerous traumas of abdominal organs and traumatic shock. Two sudden deaths occurred. The medics are now examining the 2 men's bodies, aged 49 and 58, to establish the cause of decease. Over the last 24 hours, the Chisinau Emergency Service answered 671 calls and dealt with 60 trauma cases, 56 viral infections, 7 strokes, 2 heart attacks and 27 births.
