A number of young people, including two detainees, are investigated for illegally obtaining information about the private life of a 42-year-old woman after luring her. The suspects created a fake account on social networking sites and threatened the victim with the distribution of information about persons close to her, spoiling her image. According to the police, during over three months the suspects received about 400,000 lei from the victim, IPN reports.

Using technical means for secretly obtaining information, the suspects made videos and audio recordings in which the woman appears in intimate positions. Later, they threatened the victim they will send the images to her husband and her relatives.

The suspects from the outside, among who was a 34-year-old woman, played the role of couriers, fulfilling the instructions coming from the penitentiary. These threatened the woman they would set fire to her house or will harm the image of her children. They forced her to borrow money from microfinance companies and to purchase computation equipment on credit, which they left with a pawnbroker.

The police carried out searches in the penitentiaries where the two detainees served time and at the homes of the suspects from the outside. Two of the latter were arrested.

The suspects are aged between 28 and 34. Two of them serve time for similar offenses. The young people face up to 13 years behind bars.
