Rescuers took a 48-year-old woman from Leova out of a 20-meter-deep well in the afternoon of October 25. The woman was taken to the hospital with a leg fracture and hypothermia.
Contacted by IPN, policeman on duty Andrei Viju said the woman intentionally jumped down in the well. She suffered from depression following the death of her son in a road accident three years ago and was under medical supervision.
The Leova rescuers were called out at 3:45pm. The rescue operation lasted for about 15 minutes. According to relatives, the woman left home at about 2pm.
