The body of a woman aged 39 was discovered in a well situated near the cemetery in Stăuceni commune of Chisinau municipality. The police were alerted on May 3.

Press officer of the Chisinau Police Division Natalia Stati has told IPN that no signs of violence were found on the body. A legal examination will be performed to find out the exact cause of death.

The woman turned out to be a resident of Stăuceni commune. The police took legal action.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergencies, the operation to recover the body was difficult and lasted for about an hour as the well was 10 meters in depth. After taking the body out, the rescuers pumped all the water out of the well.
