Woman fined for illegally wearing military uniform and posting on TikTok

Individuals who post videos on social media while wearing a military uniform without being part of the National Army risk fines ranging from 1,000 to 4,000 lei, according to the law. The Ministry of Defense has already identified and sanctioned a woman from Sângerei for violating this regulation, IPN reports.

According to a press release from the National Army, some individuals have been posting videos on TikTok and other social media platforms dressed in military uniforms, falsely claiming to be part of the National Army. However, under Moldovan law, it is illegal to wear a military uniform without being an active member of the armed forces, even for those in reserve status.

The Ministry of Defense has alerted the authorities about such cases. Following investigations, it was discovered that one of the individuals who posted such videos was a woman from Sangerei, born in 1999, who has now been fined.
