A woman was killed and a man was injured after they were struck by a vehicle on the Chisinau-Soroca route, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Traffic Police Division, the woman, 55, and the man, 54, walked along the roadway from Cosauti village to Soroca town when they were hit by a Gazeli minibus coming from the opposite direction. The woman died on the spot, while the man received a cranial-cerebral trauma, a fracture of the leg bones and multiple excoriations. He was rushed to the district hospital in Soroca. A man aged 69 was struck by a Dacia Logan on Renasterii Blvd. The man suffered different injuries. A 27-year-old woman sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the Emergency Hospital after the VAZ-21103 car she was traveling in collided with a Toyota at the intersection of Sfatul Tarii and Shciusev streets in Chisinau. The five road accidents that happened in Moldova on Monday resulted in one death and five persons injured. The traffic police identified two drunk drivers, 42 drivers who were speeding and 16 drivers who traveled with the seatbelts not fastened.
