A woman died on the spot, while two men suffered serious injuries in a traffic accident that happened in Gratiesti commune of the municipality of Chisinau on Monday evening, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Tudor Capatana, of the Traffic Police Division, a Volkswagen Passat driven by a 55-year-old man crashed into an Opel Vectra driven by a woman aged 42. Consequently, the Opel Vectra made a U-turn and collided head-on with a truck. The woman died on the spot, while her husband aged 47 and the driver of the Volkswagen were admitted to the Emergency Hospital. [UPDATE] The sister of the woman who died in the accident in Gratiesti informed her brother-in-law died in the hospital shortly afterward. Two grieving children remained behind them. A 38-year-old man was taken to the same hospital after he was struck by a Mercedes on Ion Creanga St. Sources in the hospital said the victim was a major of the Carabineer Troops. A woman aged 23 suffered a cranial-cerebral trauma when the motorcycle on which she traveled as a passenger was hit by a Peugeot at the intersection of the streets Paris and Tudor Vladimirescu. A similar accident occurred at the intersection of Matei Basarab and Florilor. The 60-year-old motorcyclist suffered leg injuries. A minor aged 14 was struck by a car in a crosswalk in Ratul village, Criuleni. A man, 23, was hurt in a road accident in Straseni district.
