Two persons, father and daughter, died, and their wife and mother was seriously injured in a traffic accident happened on Monday, 7 August, on the roadway Chisinau-Orhei. According to the deputy head of the Road Police within the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Sergiu Armasu, the accident took place near Peresecina village, Orhei. A Mazda car, driven with excessive speed by Aurel Scorpan, aged 48, got on the opposite way and hit a MAZ truck. As result of the impact, the driver has died on the spot. His daughter and wife, with very serious traumas, were hospitalized at the hospital of the district Orhei, but the girl didn’t manage to reach the hospital. The woman is now trapped between life and death in the intensive therapy section of the hospital. Since the beginning of this month, 8 persons, including a child, have died in traffic accidents. In 1,799 traffic accidents, occurred in Moldova since the beginning of the year, 169 persons have died, and 1,650 were injured.
