A woman was assaulted on Wednesday morning, May 3, in her own yard, suffering a series of injuries. According to the doctor-coordinator of the Chisinau Emergency Service, Evelina Rusu, the assault occurred at about 06.00 in a yard situated on the Ion Soltas Str, Vadul lui Voda town. The 64 year old woman was assaulted by several unidentified persons that injured her. The woman called for medical help, having a cranium-cerebral wound, a brain concussion and several bruises on her face. On May 1 a man tried to commit suicide, administering a drug overdose. Over the past 24 hours emergency doctors registered 614 calls, including 38 cases of virosis, 12 cases of diarrhoeal illnesses, 56 cases of trauma and 6 strokes.
