The drivers are obliged to equip their vehicles with winter tires and use them from December 1. Those who will continue to use summer tires face fines of 100 to 200 lei. Municipal police chief Silviu Musuc has told Info-Prim Neo that according to the normative documents, the drivers must have winter tires on their vehicles between December 1 and March 1. The replacement of tires is needed in order to ensure the safe movement and to avoid accidents. It is recommended giving the vehicles a general check. As an accident prevention measure, between November 1 and March 31 the drivers are obliged to travel with the lights on during the day.
