The pair Andrei Porubin – Slavian Gutu became the winners of the seventh national veterans and amateurs tennis championship. In the final of the competition, this pair beat current champions Vladimir Iampolschi and Ion Lambantu by 2-0, IPN reports.

The first match of the final involved Slavian Gutu and Ion Lambantu. The president of the Association of Veteran and Amateur Tennis Players of Moldova Slavian Gutu won by 7-5, 6-1. In the doubles, the duo Gutu – Porubin defeated the pair Lambantu-Iampolschi by 6-7, 6-4 and 10-6.

“All the games were very balanced. It was a worthy competition,” Slavian Gutu stated for IPN.

The final of the seventh national veterans and amateurs tennis championship involved eight teams.
