Winners of contest to create national symbols announced
The national commission for holding the contest to design national symbols associated with protected geographical indications and designations of origin and guaranteed traditional specialties made public the names of the winners of the contest, with the Government awarding prizes for every category of national symbol, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Ambros SRL took the first place for creating a national symbol associated with geographical indications and received 5,000 lei. The second place was taken by Vitalie Cataraga, who was awarded 3,000 lei. The prize of 2,000 lei for the third place went to Elena Zavorotnyi.
The same participants received prizes for designing the national symbol associated with protected designations of origin and the national symbol associated with guaranteed traditional specialties. They received the same prizes as in the first case, in the same order. The money for the prizes totaling 30,000 lei was allocated from the Government’s reserve fund.
The contest took place between November 1 and February 1 and involved 22 participants who presented 58 works.
