Wing of Mother&Child Institute renovated within Rebirth Moldova project

Mothers with newborns will be able to recover in modernized and renovated wards at the Mother&Child Institute in Chisinau, after a new wing of the maternity was opened for patients. According to a press release of the campaign Rebirth Moldova, the opening was attended by the Metropolitan of Chisinau and Moldova, His Holiness Vladimir, and Vlad Plahotniuc, the man behind the Rebirth Moldova and also founder of the charity foundation Edelweiss, as well as by the Institute's medical staff, IPN reports.

Plahotniuc said that Rebirth Moldova is already an example to be followed, a slogan that will guide other projects throughout the country. According to him, the modernization effects of the campaign are visible for anyone. “This work we have started here, at the Mother&Child Institute, it's more important than politics, than electoral campaigns. Both those who supported this campaign and those who didn't believe in it now have concrete proofs, can see the real modernization at the Mother&Child maternity. The conditions in these renovated wards are at on par with those in European medical institutions. We'll continue this project because we have to transform this maternity into a modern institution”, said the founder of Edelweiss.

Since the start of Rebirth Moldova, about one million euros was collected, which made it possible to carry out renovations at the maternity hospital unprecedented over the last three decades.

Next year, the project will renovate and provide with equipment tens of postpartum wards, will build a modern surgery room and will open the first ambulatory diagnostic ward – the prenatal screening center.
