Winemakers from over 20 countries exhibit products at Expovin Moldova
The most important wine companies from Moldova and another over 20 countries are taking part in the 20th Expovin Moldova exhibition that will be housed by Moldexpo during February 12-16, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Arcadie Andronic, director of Poliproject Exibitions Ltd. that organizes this event, told a news conference that the exhibition will include well-known wines and wines launched recently.
The program of the exhibit includes performances by the Theater of Wine and Gastronomy. Wine companies, restaurants and artists will prepare exclusive dishes that the visitors will be able to taste on the basis of special invitations or entry tickets that cost 15 lei.
The visitors will also be able to taste wines made by companies that participated in the third consumer preferences contest. The best wine will be awarded the Public Sympathy prize.
“Among the most famous participants in the exhibit are Cricova, Barza Alba, and Aroma, which have been near us since the opening of Expovin Moldova. This event is an occasion for wine producers, distributors and consumers to establish business contacts,” said Arcadie Andronic.
The winners of the International Wines/Spirits Contest 2011 will be announced during the exhibition. Moldova is represented in the contest by 27 producers. The other 26 participants are from Georgia, Russia, France, Romania, Ukraine, Belgium, the Czech Republic, and Azerbaijan. The competition is held under the auspices of the Union of Oenologists of Moldova.
