The National "WINE OF MOLDOVA" competition, held on November 21-22 in Chișinău, has announced the winners of the best wines and divins produced in the country. Of the 300 samples entered, 89 were awarded medals - 8 Double Gold, 73 Gold, and 8 Silver.
Among the wines awarded Gold by local and international experts judging the competition are 10 wines from Castel Mimi and 2 divins – Cuza Vodă Premium aged 12 and 15 years, respectively.
These include 5 white, red, and rosé wines from the Castel Mimi classic series: Merlot 2020, Sfăditele 2020, Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, Rara Neagră Rosé 2023, and Rosé de Bulboaca 2023. Gold was also awarded to the best wine ever made from the native Feteasca Neagră grape variety, from the The Governor series, created in honor of Constantin Mimi.
Two other wines, inspired by and dedicated to art, are 9Muses Merlot Rosé and 9Muses Cabernet Sauvignon – premium wines elevated to the rank of art, accessible to all to discover.
Among the top-rated wines are also some of the newest innovations on the Moldovan wine market – wines bottled by Castel Mimi in PET bottles weighing just 54 grams. Climate Smart Packaging Merlot Rosé and Climate Smart Packaging Sauvignon Blanc received gold medals, proving that the packaging does not compromise the quality of the bottled wine.
The National "WINE OF MOLDOVA" competition is dedicated to wines made from local grape varieties, new Moldovan selection varieties, blends with European varieties, as well as spirituous beverages of vitivinicultural origin.
The wine competition is organized by the "National Office of Vine and Wine" with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry.
