The 17th National Wine Day will be celebrated on October 6 and 7, 2018, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment.
A number of areas will be set up in the central square of the capital city, such as the Craftspeople, Peasant’s Yard and the Painting Area. There will be improvised three Moldovan villages and created a “wine road”. The sanitary area for participants and visitors will be three times wider.
According to Minister of Agriculture Liviu Volconovici, it is important to make sure that the guests of the holiday are familiarized with high-quality Moldovan wines in an atmosphere that will meet their expectations.
Gheorghe Arpentin, director of the National Office of Vine and Wine, said emphasis at the holiday will be placed on the regions with geographical indications. It is expected that the event will involve by about 20 more producers than last year.
The video about the National Wine Day will be broadcast in Moldova and also in Romania, Poland and China so as to promote the wineries situated in the regions with protected geographical indications and to increase the number of tourists.
