The 12th National Wine Day this year will be held under the theme: “Respect for traditions, courage in innovations”. It will take place in the Great National Assembly Square on October 5-6, IPN reports, quoting the Tourism Agency’s program.

The program starts at 10.00 with a music recital titled “Welcome, dear guest”. The festivity to open the holiday will begin at 11.00. There will be awarded the Top Prize in winemaking. During the day, the public will be able to visit the stands and exhibition pavilions. A pop and folk music performance will be given at 18.30.

The second day of the holiday will be opened by a music program. At 11.00, there will be awarded the prize of the “Golden Barrel” contest. Interactive contests for the public, presentations and wine tasting events will be staged during the day. A concert will be held at 18.00. The official closing of the 2013 National Wine Day will take place at 21.00.

The National Wine Day has been marked annually in Moldova in October since 2001.
