Georgeta Snegur, the wife of Moldova’s first President Mircea Snegur, passed away. The members of the Independence Parliament transmitted a message of condolence to Mircea Snegur, who is the president of honor of the Public Association “Parlamentul-90”, IPN reports.

“Caring and faithful wife, the mother of two exceptional children, Missis Georgeta Snegur worked in the health protection sector all her life, assisting hundreds and thousands of ordinary people. Regrettably, a merciless disease took her away from near the beloved ones,” says the message.

Those who want to bid farewell to Georgeta Snegur can do it at the Church of the Central Cemetery situated on Armenească St starting at 5:30pm on December 24. A service will be held there beginning at 10am on December 25 and she will be later buried.
