The persons who lost their husbands or wives in World War II or in fighting during peacetime, or as a result of the Chernobyl cleanup will receive financial assistance even if they remarry.
This became possible after the Cabinet approved amendments to the relevant regulations.
The limitations were also excluded in the case of the parents of persons killed in battle. Until now, only the parents who were unable to work were entitled to assistance.
The given financial assistance is equal to 1,000 lei a year, IPN reports.
