Whole world cannot convince Russians to pull out their army from Moldova, Mircea Snegur

The disease of separatism with which the Transnistrian leaders were infected by political forces from outside hasn’t been cured and the whole world cannot convince Russia to withdraw its army from foreign territories, including Moldova, ex-President Mircea Snegur said during an event to lay flowers at the Grieving Mother monument on the occasion of 20 years of the start of the Nistru war, Info-Prim Neo reports. ”March 2 is a day when we are filled with sadness. Today we commemorate the heroes who fought for the integrity of our country. Every time I apologize to the families of those who were killed in the conflict. I thank you for managing to temper the desires of the then merchants. The fact that Moldova celebrated 20 years of independence is due to your heroism as well,” said Mircea Snegur. The first President of Moldova stressed that the separatism in the Transnistrian region is still supported by the radical political forces of Russia. Other former Soviet states are in a similar situation. “Unfortunately, the socioeconomic situation of our combatants is not the best, but we hope the authorities will succeeded in gradually solving the problems,” said Mircea Snegur, adding today Moldova also marks 20 years since it became a UN member.
