The procedure for amicably ascertaining minor accidents when the drivers have internal civil liability insurance policy will start to be applied in September, six months after the publication of the new provisions in the Official Gazette. For the holders of the Green Card certificate of insurance, the procedure will become valid in 24 months, which is at the start of next year.

The bill was given a final reading at the start of October 2018, but wasn’t promulgated by the President and was thus sent back to Parliament for reexamination. Later, by a decision of February 11, 2019, the Government assumed responsibility for a similar bill and submitted it to Parliament for being subject to the procedure stipulated in the Constitution. As a result of this constitutional procedure, the given bill was considered adopted and the law was promulgated by the President of Moldova by a decree of February 28, 2019. It was published in the March 8, 2019 number of the Official Gazette, it is said in a response provided by the Government to IPN Agency.

To ensure the effective implementation of the legal act, the Government and the National Commission for Financial Markets within four months of the publication of the law are to bring the normative documents in compliance with this.
