A young man was seriously hurt when he was trying to detach the rim from the wheel of a truck. Eufalia Negreata, coordinating doctor at the Chisinau Ambulance Service, has told Info-Prim Neo that the 27-year-old locksmith working for a service station was seriously hit by the rim when he wanted to remove it from the tire. The young man was taken to the Emergency Hospital with an open cranial-cerebral trauma, fracture of the skull and traumatic shock of the 3-4 degree. A minor aged 13 fell from height last night. He landed on the door peak of an apartment building on Diminetii St in Chisinau and called for help. An ambulance doctor climbed onto the peak and gave him first aid, immobilizing his right shoulder and shank. The boy did not want to tell from what story he fell. The police are investigating the case. Five persons died on Wednesday, April 28. A man aged 56 who suffered from a cardiac disease died in the presence of the ambulance team, a 62-year-old woman suffered a repeat heart attack and died in hospital, while a man aged 66 from Bubuieci died in Truseni, when he was visiting his relatives. Yesterday and last night, the Chisinau Ambulance Service dealt with 728 calls, including 55 cases of acute viral infection, 71 cases of trauma, seven strokes and two heart attacks. Five persons sought help from the three ambulance that were yesterday on guard in the Great National Assembly Square, where there was given a concert.
