The increase of the tariffs is operated due to the necessity of adjusting them to the real expenses of the transport service within the country and abroad, as well as the typographic expenses etc. The adjustment of the tariffs is coordinated with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce according to the provisions of the Estimation Methodology of the prices for the services provided by “Posta Moldovei”, which was approved through Governmental decision in December 2000. The methodology allows adjusting the tariffs once a year, depending on the increase of the expenses.
The last time, the tariffs had been approved at the beginning of 2006 through an order of the Ministry of Informational Development on December 12, 2005. The tariffs for the postal services were increased by 15% back then.
