The Moldovan weightlifters achieve new results on the international arena. Artiom Pipa won three silver medals in the juniors’ 69kg class at the European Juniors and Youth Championship in Israel on December 4, Info-Prim Neo reports. The athlete lifted a total of 314 kg, 142 at snatch and 172 kg at clean and jerk. In the youth category, Serghei Cechir won two silvers in the 69kg class with a result of 310 kg. During the first days of the competition, Cristina Iovu and Iurie Dudoglo became European champions in the juniors’ 53kg class and, respectively, youth 62kg class. Ion Terna won two bronzes in the juniors’ 62kg. The other Moldovan athletes that will compete in Israel are Marin Gologan, Iurie Bulat, Gheorghe Cernei (all the 85kg class), Dumitru Captari (77kg), Marcel Guidea (94kg), and Natalia Prishchepa (75kg).
