Marin Robu has won three gold medals at the 2022 U23 European Weightlifting Championships held in Albania. He competed in the 81 kg weight class, IPN reports.

Marin Robu lifted 155 kg in snatch and 197 kg in clean and jerk. The athlete from Nisporeni was followed by the UK’s Chris Murray (319 kg in total) and Ukraine’s Dmytro Kondratiuk (316 kg).

In the women’s competition earlier, Ecaterina Grabucea (45 kg) ranked fourth in U23, while Teodora-Luminița Hîncu (49 kg) finished sixth in U20. The competition in Durres will also involve Tudor Bratu (Oct. 23), Artiom Gritsenko and Tudor Ciobanu (both Oct. 24).
