Weightlifter Marin Robu won the title of European vice champion in the 73 kg weight class. In snatch, he won silver after lifting 156 kg, IPN reports.
Robu finished fourth in clean and jerk after lifting 183 kg. With a total of 339 kg, the 21-year-old athlete won silver by the general score, becoming European senior vice champion for the first time.
Marin Robu is the second Moldovan athlete who medalled at the European Weightlifting Championships in Moscow. Daniel Lungu won gold in snatch in the 55 kg class.
