The electors can vote online the preferred candidate for President on the website votum.md. The authors of the project said this way they want to find out the real picture of political preferences. According to them, the online elections are not an alternative to the authentic presidential elections of October 30 and represent a research, IPN reports.

Through the agency of the website, each user can vote online for the favorite candidate. votum.md is a project of independent sociological polls and each person who has access to the Internet can state their opinion.

“For objectively assessing the political spectrum, each visitor of the website can familiarize themselves with the biography, political platforms and income statements of the candidates. Thus, based on this information, the users will be able to consciously choose the candidate who deserves to become President of the Republic of Moldova,” it is said in a press release of the project authors.

To make the choice, one must click on the “Vote” button against the candidate’s picture, fill out the form and vote. The project authors said the elections take place in conditions of anonymity and the vote is attached to the phone number so as to avoid the so-called carousel, when people vote for several times from one account.

Voting will be closed five days before the elections, in accordance with the Law on Elections.
