“I think we can achieve what we planned only if we work together. We need a partnership with our people, with the political parties. We must understand that our country is small and should not be divided. We have the task of uniting the people and building together a country where the people will want to live,” Minister of Labor, Social Protection and Family and MP Valentina Buliga told Info-Prim Neo. “I want that Moldova becomes a state of law, where the people will have well-paid jobs, the young people will be optimistic, while the elderly will have decent pensions and enjoy decent living conditions. I hope I will contribute to the achievement of these objectives through my work,” the Minister said. According to Valentina Buliga, 2009 was a difficult year for the whole country as there were two election campaigns. But it was also a year of hopes as the people put their trust in the new government and expect changes. “In 2009, we initiated sensitive, but well though out reforms aimed at creating a good social protection system that supports every person according to their merits,” the Minister said. Valentina Buliga pledged that the socially underprivileged families will be the focus of attention in 2010. “There are many deprived families that have many children or include disabled persons. Laws and policies will be adopted to motivate the young people to work at home, while those who work abroad to return home. We must create those workplaces promised long ago.”
