We must love from up to down, not vice versa as we are not animals, Pro-Ortodoxia

The Association “Pro-Ortodoxia” and several other religious associations condemn the authors and editors of the book “Sex described for children”, saying that they should be held accountable – imprisoned or taken to psychiatric hospitals. The representatives of the Church consider that the book promotes pedophilia, homosexuality, incest, prostitution and other obnoxious things, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a news conference, the Association’s head Ghenadie Valuta said that this book has nothing in common with sexual education, which should begin with the teaching of values. “Real pornography is promoted under this mask of education, which is incompatible with the fragile mental condition of the small children,” said the priest, adding that the psychological trauma will create premature sexual complexes and will encourage debauchery. Instead of looking for toys, the children will look for condoms, Ghenadie Valuta said. “Why should the child know how his mother and father make love? Childhood offers the child the possibility of fully developing physically and physiologically. We must love from up to down, not vice versa as we are not animals.” The deputy chairman of the National-Christian Movement Ion Botnari, deacon at the Ascension Church in Orhei, said that love is an intimate feeling and relation. “We do not study religion, but we study sex. This means that we are looking for love in the pants, not in the heart and this is outrageous,” he said. Vitalie Marian, deputy head of the Association “For Family”, said homosexuality is also promoted by the four short films broadcast by the public television channel as part of the human rights promotion activities. According to Vitalie Marian, these films destroy society. The subject is to be discussed at a meeting of the Supervisory Board on December 22. The religious associations ask the Government, especially Prime Minister Vlad Filat, to hold accountable all those who promote the book “Sex described for children”. The decision to withdraw the book from sale was announced by the Premier on December 14. Members of the National NGO Council described it as unjustified interference by the Government in the freedom of expression.
