We cannot speak about trust within new government coalition, Vlad Filat

The Liberal-Democratic leader Vlad Filat does not believe that they can speak about confidence and friendship within the new government coalition. According to him, more effort is needed for ensuring mutual confidence. In a TV program, the politician said that if time had been turned back, he would have ensured better communication and wouldn’t have allowed things to be misinterpreted, IPN reports.

Vlad Filat voiced hope that the understandings stipulated in the new agreement will be respected. “On the expiration of the Parliament’s mandate, we must have an important stage overcome,” he stated. He added that compared with the previous alliance, they now have more efficient communication. “There is a signed accord and a government program. The rules of the games will be clear,” said the leader of the PLDM.

As to the former alliance, Vlad Filat said there were times when some of his colleagues permanently criticized the own executive. He noted that the Liberal Party didn’t understand that one cannot be in power by being in the opposition.

The chairman of the PLDM confessed that discussions about the possible early elections were held with the PCRM before the constitution of the new coalition. But the PCRM sees Moldova in the Eurasian Union, not in the EU.

The PLDM withdrew from the agreement on the creation of the Alliance for European Integration on February 13. On May 30, the leaders of the PLDM, PDM and of the group of the Liberal reformers signed an agreement to constitute the Pro-European Coalition. Ghimpu’s Liberals were excluded from the government.
