WB seeks from foreign donors to increase volume of financing for Moldova
The World Bank (WB) appreciates the Government’s efforts made in an attempt to increase the economy and will request from the foreign donors to increase the volume of financing for Moldova, director of WB Office in Moldova, Edward Braun stated during a meeting with Premier Vasile Tarlev held on Wednesday December 6.
The sides voiced their satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation, a fact that in Edward Braun’s opinion will contribute to the successful organisation of the Consultative Group’s sitting for Moldova scheduled for December 12 in Brussels.
Vasile Tarlev welcomed the idea of organizing this visit on December 7-10 of the WB Managing Director, Graeme Wheeler, on the eve of the Consultative Group’s sitting. As the Premier states, Wheeler will have the possibility to get familiar with the processes that are underway in Moldova in different fields, to make an exchange of opinions with the authorities and other parties interested in the ways through which the WB’s further assistance could have a greater impact on the development process.
Premier appreciated highly the WB’s contribution and attitude towards the efficient implementation of the reforms promoted by the Government. “We pay special attention to the meeting of the donors in Brussels and we make every effort to consolidate the relations with the donors, added Premier Tarlev, cited by Info-Prim Neo.
