The Chisinau water supplier restarted to disconnect the bad payers from the private sector. Dozens of apartment building in Centru, Buiucani and Ciocana districts remained without water this week. The end-users with debts will have running water only after they fully pay the bills and a reconnection tax, IPN reports.
According to a communiqué from SA “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, the supplier will not exempt the persons with debts from the contractual obligations and demands that they clear the debts as soon as possible. Otherwise, the bad payers will be sued and will be banned from leaving the country, or their goods will be sequestrated.
The non-payment of the consumed water does not enable the supplier to increase investments in renovating the water and sewerage system. The list of bad payers is available on the company’s website www.acc.md. The disconnections will continue next week.
