A water tower installed two months ago in Butor village of Grigoriopol district has fallen down. The Transnistrian administration is investigating the case, but no causes have been made public yet, IPN reports.
According to the Tiraspol Agency “Novostipmr”, Mayor of Butor Liubovi Guseinova said that until the new tower is repaired and reinstated, the villagers will receive water from the old tower three times a week.
“Until now the people were also supplied with water only three times a week. We wanted the people to have water in homes permanently. The new tower has a capacity of 25 tonnes. The water came from a new artesian well and the tower was to supply water to 160 homes nonstop,” said the mayor.
The water tower was dissembled in order to identify the possible faults. Nobody was hurt in the incident. Only a garden was slightly flooded.
