The water supply systems within the apartment blocks, including those from apartments, will be managed by the supplier. The decision was taken at the Government’s meeting on 16 August. Until now this task was done by the block’s administrator. The manager of the Construction and Development Agency, Igor Semenovcher (ACDT), announced at the end of the meeting, that JSC „Apa Canal Chisinau” (ACC) shall conclude individual contracts with the consumers on technical service and repairs of the interior equipments from the apartment blocks. The payment for this service will be included separately in the consumer’s bill. The prices are to be approved. Until now this payment was included indirectly in the bill for technical services of the blocks. According to Semenovcher, this decision was necessary in order to improve the quality of the water supply services. Since the supplier is going to manage the systems, it will not be able to blame anyone for water losses, and ACC incomes will depend on the enterprise’s management. ACDT head mentioned that now negociations are carried out with JSC „Termocom”, in order to change the Regulation on providing and paying maintenance services, taking as example the water supplier, though no result was reached for the moment. The Executive’s decision enters into force when it will be published in the “Official Monitor” newspaper.
