A water supply system will be built in Sangereii Noi district. This will supply safe drinking water to 12 communities of Sangerei district, including Sangerei town, IPN has learned from the Ministry of Regional Development and Construction.

The project is at its third stage. Until 2019, there will be built about 12 km of water pipes, a pumping station, a water treatment station and two water towers. The works within the third stage cost 34 million lei and are financed with money allocated from the National Regional Development Fund.

The works form part of a regional development project initiated four years ago. This consists in the creation of drinking water supply conditions for the inhabitants of 28 communities of Sangerei and Telenesti districts and of Balti municipality. About 15 km of water pipes have been built within the first two stages of the project.
