Water supply in over 1000 apartment blocks of the Chisinau Municipality will be resumed on August 18, 2006. The director commercial of JSC “Termocom”, Mihai Arusoi says that at present 364 apartment blocks benefit from hot water. About 1280 blocks are not ready to be provided with these services because the thermal energy supplier is making preparations for the cold season. “Termocom” plans to finish all the repairs in several days, so that on August 18, water deliveries to be fully resumed. Only 7 blocks will be connected on August 28 to the hot water supply network because of some planned repair works. According to Mihai Arusoi, until now 1648 apartment blocks solicited to be connected to the hot water supply network. The General Interim Mayor of Chisinau municipality, Vasile Ursu asked the responsible persons from the General Communal Department to motivate the administrators of the living funds to solicit hot water supply. Ursu considers that the inhabitants of 800 blocks are deprived of this service by the administrators of the dwelling fund, who do not wish to take upon themselves another responsibility, and namely collecting taxes.
