A 400 meters’ long segment of the pipe supplying water to residents on Haiducilor Street was replaced in record times thanks to a donation made by a Romanian company, the water utility Apa-Canal Chisinau said in a press release.

The old pipe was more tha 30 years old and extremely worn out. The replacement is a highly resistant PVC-O pipe with a 110 mm diameter. The utility says these are the best pipes available on the market for high-pressure water supply. They are also cheaper to install.

According to Apa-Canal, the residents are satisfied with the speedy replacement, being glad that there hasn’t been a single leak in a month since the work was completed.
