Mayor of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca made an ordinance, banning the companies “Apa-Canal Chisinau”, “Termocom”, “Chisinau-Gaz” and “Red Union Fenosa” from disconnecting the apartment buildings of any form of ownership, and the education and medical institutions from the water, natural gas, power and heat supply in wintertime, Info-Prim Neo reports. Under the ordinance, the non-payment by a part of the dwellers or lodgers of the public utilities cannot serve as reason for disconnecting entire buildings from the water, natural gas, electricity and heat supply. The municipal services in charge will make sure that the piping systems work smoothly and will immediately deal with possible accidents.
